New program to develop biosensors for diagnosis of infectious diseases

Axis-Shield plc (ASD) announced that it is part of a major GBP 10 million project revealed by ITI Techmedia in Glasgow, along with three other organizations.

ITI Techmedia is one of three institutes set up by Scottish Enterprise to develop market-driven intellectual property for the benefit of the Scottish economy.

In this case the 4.5 year program aims to develop a biosensor platform to facilitate both diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases.
