Data details mechanism of action for antifungal treatment

Anacor Pharmaceuticals, a privately held company, announced that its scientists presented AN2690's novel mechanism of action at the Society for Investigative Dermatology Annual Meeting in Philadelphia. AN2690, the first in a new class of antifungal agents, is being developed for onychomycosis, a fungal infection of the nail and nail bed that affects approximately 7 to 10% of the U.S. population.
