Hurthle cell carcinoma clinicopathologic characteristics studied

The clinicopathologic characteristics of Hurthle cell carcinoma (HCC) of the thyroid were studied.

"HCC of the thyroid is a variant of follicular cancer which has been considered by many as a more aggressive disease than the usual well-differentiated carcinoma of the thyroid. [The study's aim was] to investigate the clinicopathologic characteristics, treatment and outcome of HCC," scientists in Turkey reported.
