Heinz receives Keller Global Visionary Award for support of SGHI micronutrient program

H.J. Heinz Co. (HNZ) Chairman, President, and CEO William R. Johnson accepted the inaugural Helen Keller Global Visionary Award on behalf of Heinz employees on Thursday, April 27, 2006, at the Spirit of Helen Keller Gala in New York City for the company's sponsorship of the Sprinkes Global Health Initiative (SGHI), a micronutrient program. Presenting the award was Academy Award-winning actress Meryl Streep. Heinz was recognized by Helen Keller International (HKI), a nonprofit organization working to combat blindness, its effects, and malnutrition in 25 nations in Africa, Asia, and the Americas.
