Women with bipolar disorder treated with tamoxifen show significant symptom improvement. Scientists at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne "tested and compared the use of two adjunctive hormonal agents, tamoxifen and medroxyprogesterone acetate (MPA), for the treatment of acute mania or hypomania."
