Strategic Diagnostics updates beta test results on new Salmonella rapid checking method

Strategic Diagnostics Inc. (SDIX), a provider of biotechnology-based detection products, announced that an additional 12 beta test evaluations for its new RapidChek SELECT Salmonella product commenced in several large poultry companies and independent laboratories, with an additional 13 scheduled to begin soon, bringing the total of pre-commercial evaluations to 30. The evaluations focus on a novel 48-hour method for a variety of high burden foods in addition to a 24-hour method for a selection of low burden foods.
