Endoscopic sinus surgery confirmed as an effective treatment for chronic rhinosinusitis

Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) is a common and well-recognized clinical syndrome that is likely to have a number of different causes. A new study indicates that determining predictors of efficacy of endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS) may help in choosing better management strategy and help surgeons in estimating prognosis of the treatment. Researchers from Zagreb, Croatia set out to estimate and compare some histopathologic predictors of efficacy of ESS in allergic and non-allergic patients with CRS.
