Amicus Therapeutics raises $60 million series D financing

Amicus Therapeutics, a biopharmaceutical company developing small molecule, orally-administered pharmacological chaperones for the treatment of a range of human genetic diseases, announced the closing of a $60 million Series D financing, the company's largest to date, led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA). In August, due to market conditions, the company withdrew its S-1 registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) relating to a proposed initial public offering.
