Reports from Denmark, Switzerland and Brazil highlight recent research in diabetes. Study 1: Systolic left ventricular function was linked to metabolic control and left ventricular mass in hypertensive patients with type 2 diabetes. According to recent research from Denmark, "Decreased left ventricular long-axis function may be the earliest stage in subclinical heart failure in type 2 diabetes.
