Researchers from Monash University, Department of Epidemiology publish findings in epidemiology

New investigation results, "Carriage of multiple subtypes of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus by intensive care unit patients," are detailed in a study published in Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology. In this recent study, researchers in Melbourne, Australia conducted a study "To determine how consistently patients are colonized with methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) at various sites and how many subtypes can be carried simultaneously by a single patient. A 28-bed Intensive care unit in a tertiary-care referral hospital."
