"Fyn protein-tyrosine kinase (PTK), a member of the Src-PTK family, is essential for myelin development in the central nervous system (CNS). The absence of Fyn activity results in defects in the morphogenesis of oligodendrocyte precursors (OPCs) and CNS hypomyelination.
