Studies from Catholic University have provided new information about schizophrenia

Current study results from the report, "The association between cognition and functional outcome in first-episode patients with schizophrenia: mystery resolved," have been published. According to recent research published in the journal Acta Psychiatrica Scandinavica, "The presence of a prospective association between cognition and functional outcome in first episode patients with schizophrenia is much debated. Associations between Intelligence Quotient (IQ) measures and functional outcome were assessed at the first hospitalization and after 10 years follow-up."
