Ovarian cancer survivors and physicians stress gynecologic cancer awareness

The Ovarian Cancer National Alliance (OCNA) and the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists (SGO) took action in their joint efforts to inform Members of Congress about H.R. 3438, "Johanna's Law: The Gynecologic Cancers Education and Awareness Act" in an effort to expand support.

The bill, which was introduced on November 4, 2003, would authorize a national gynecologic cancers early detection and awareness campaign aimed at women, their physicians and health care payers. It is sponsored by Representative Sander Levin (D-MI) and Representative Kay Granger (R-TX), and currently has 117 cosponsors.
