Characteristics of traumatic brain injury in elderly people described

Researchers describe the characteristics of people aged 65 years and older hospitalized with a traumatic brain injury in a recent issue of the Journal of Head Trauma Rehabilitation.

In a recently published article, scientists in the United States conducted a study "to examine the epidemiologic and clinical characteristics of older persons (i.e., those aged 65-74, 75-84, and {{>=}}85 years) hospitalized with traumatic brain injury (TBI). Data from the 1999 CDC 15-state TBI surveillance system were analyzed.
