Eating disorders are linked to negative coping strategies, and poor psychosocial life

Eating disorders in type 1 diabetics are associated with negative coping strategies, and poor psychosocial quality of life. "To evaluate coping styles and quality of life in youth with Type 1 diabetes with and without eating disorders and to identify relationships between these variables in each group," investigators in Austria report. V. Grylli and colleagues at the Medical University Vienna described, "Adolescents were evaluated for eating disorders with a two-stage diagnostic procedure.
