L-[methyl-C-11] methionine-positron emission tomography used to monitor treatment of glioma

L-[methyl-C-11] methionine (MET)-positron emission tomography (PET) could be used to monitor the treatment of glioma. According to recent research published in the Journal of Neurosurgery, "The authors retrospectively analyzed the data obtained in patients who had undergone MET-PET studies to clarify the relationship between MET uptake and tumor biological features and to discuss the clinical usefulness of MET-PET studies."
