MR imaging used to assess leukoencephalopathy in children treated for acute lymphoblastic leukemia

Quantitative MR imaging was used to assess leukoencephalopathy (LE) in children treated for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) without irradiation. According to recent research published in the American Journal of Neuroradiology, "Intravenous methotrexate (IV-MTX), an effective treatment for ALL, has a significant toxic effect on the central nervous system, with LE being the most common form.
