Reports from University of California, Department of Neurology highlight recent research in bipolar disorder

A report, 'Increased volume of the amygdala and hippocampus in bipolar patients treated with lithium,' is newly published data in NeuroReport. According to recent research from the United States, "Previous structural neuroimaging studies of bipolar disorder have reported conflicting findings in limbic structures. Medication heterogeneity of patient samples may have contributed to these inconsistencies."
