Studies from Texas Christian University, Department of Psychology have provided new data on anxiety disorders immunology

Scientists discuss in 'Influence of prenatal stress on behavioral, endocrine, and cytokine responses to adulthood bacterial endotoxin exposure' new findings in anxiety disorders. "Prior research suggests that prenatal stress, among other effects, can lead to hyper-reactivity of the offspring's hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis and alterations in immune function. These stress-induced changes have been linked to a greater propensity to develop depression or anxiety disorders," scientists in the United States report.
