Cardiovascular risk factors must be assessed in Alzheimer's disease

According to a recent report from France, "Dementia is nowadays of major importance in public health. Alzheimer's disease and vascular cognitive impairments are its main etiology in the elderly. The cause of Alzheimer's disease remains unknown. The factor initiating the physiopathology of this neurodegenerative disease is source of controversy."
