Lexicon Genetics reports 16% increase in revenues

Lexicon Genetics, Inc., (LEXG), reported financial results for the 3 and 6 months ended June 30, 2006. Lexicon's revenues for the 3 months ended June 30, 2006 increased 16% to $16.2 million from $13.9 million for the corresponding period in 2005. "We continue to make progress with our drug-discovery and -development programs. Our application to initiate a phase I clinical trial for LX6171 has received clearance from the United Kingdom Medicines & Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), and we expect to have that trial underway shortly," said Arthur T.
