Teva Neuroscience launches rasagiline compound as once-daily tablet for Parkinson disease

Teva Neuroscience announced the launch of Azilect (rasagiline tablets), a once-daily treatment for Parkinson disease (PD) available in pharmacies by prescription only. Azilect is indicated for use as initial monotherapy in early PD and as adjunct therapy to levodopa in moderate-to-advanced disease. Based on survey results of 276 persons with PD, Teva has created the PD exercise kit in conjunction with the launch of Azilect. The kit includes information on the availability of once-daily Azilect, an online fitness tracker, and PD-specific exercise options created by Marilu Henner.
