Evidence for Neuroanatomic and Neuropsychological Markers in DAT

"Neuropsychological and gross pathologic similarities between Alzheimer's disease, other dementing conditions, and mixed dementias, warrants the coupling of neuropsychological evaluation with neuroimaging visualization for improving diagnostic and differential accuracy in dementia of the Alzheimer's type (DAT)," concluded a recent study.

K.K. Zakzanis, York University, Ontario, explored various measures of DAT in a study titled "Quantitative Evidence for Neuroanatomic and Neuropsychological Markers in Dementia of the Alzheimer's Type" (Journal of Clinical and Experimental Neuropsychology, April 1998;20(2):259-269).
