Reports from University of Milan, Department of Internal Medicine add new data to research in life sciences

Fresh data on life sciences are presented in the report 'Quality of private personal care for elderly people in Italy living at home with disabilities: risk of nursing home placement at a 1-year follow-up.' According to a study from Milan, Italy, "The aim of this prospective study was to evaluate the correlation between the self-perceived quality of private personal care for elderly people living at home and the 1-year risk of hospital admission, nursing home placement and death. We enrolled 100 community-dwelling elderly outpatients (mean age 85 years), who had been receiving private personal care for any kind of disability for at least 1 month."
