Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey's Medicare HMO and Commercial POS Direct Access Plans Receive "Excellent" Rating By NCQA

2012 MAY 6 -- Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey Medicare HMO and Commercial (non-Medicare) POS and Direct Access plan members are receiving the highest level of quality service, access, and patient safety according to the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Horizon BCBSNJ's Medicare HMO and Commercial POS (Direct Access) plans received NCQA's highest Accreditation rating, "Excellent."

NCQA awards its highest Accreditation rating of "Excellent" to organizations with programs for service and clinical quality that meet or exceed rigorous requirements for consumer protection and quality improvement.
