Researchers publish new studies and findings in the area of cardiology

New findings from South Korea, Germany and Netherlands describe advances in cardiology. Study 1: Researchers have uncovered a connection between severe preeclampsia and an abnormality in local smoothness of the very-short-term heart rate in growth-restricted fetuses. M.K. Yum and colleagues, Hallym University, Seoul, wrote, "An abnormality in cardiovascular regulation during the prenatal period has been suggested to be the pathophysiological link between fetal growth restriction and adult hypertension.
