Company announces first ThinPrep Imaging System placement in Asia

Cytyc Corp. (CYTC), a women's health company, announced the placement of the first ThinPrep Imaging System in Asia at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) Cervical Cytology Screening Laboratory. The HKU Cervical Cytology Screening Laboratory currently processes approximately 80,000 ThinPrep Pap Tests annually. "Implementation of the ThinPrep Imaging System will save a lot of manpower and can reduce the error due to human fatigue," said Annie Cheung Nga-yin, MD, pathologist in charge of the laboratory.
