Initial low response predicts poor outcome in IVF/ICSI

Initial low response is a prognostic indicator of poor outcome of subsequent in vitro fertilization (IVF)/intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), researchers report. Z. Veleva and colleagues, Oulu University, Finland, conducted a retrospective analysis of data to assess "the predictive value of initial low response (LR) in IVF/ICSI." Data were from IVF/ICSI cycles performed from 1994 to 2002 at two fertility centers in Finland. "Consecutive cycles in the same subject were identified.
