Research focuses on treatment of subclinical perinatal infections

Masimo announced important new research that could facilitate the prompt identification and treatment of dangerous perinatal infections that are largely subclinical. Using the Masimo SET Radical Pulse Oximeters, researchers at the Siena and Brindisi Hospitals, Italy, showed that during the first minutes of life, Masimo SET perfusion index (PI) is a valuable tool in detecting the presence of subclinical chorioamnionitis.
