Study 1: Gynecologic laparoscopy operative time can be reduced by using the ProSeal LMA (Laryngeal Mask Company) or SLIPA (SLIPAmed SA Pty Ltd.) airways.
Anesthesiologists in England conducted a study "to compare the efficacy of the ProSeal LMA and SLIPA supralaryngeal airways (SLA) with the standard tracheal tube (TT) in 150 consecutive day-case laparoscopic gynecological surgery procedures requiring general anesthesia."
