Smoking cessation using transtheoretical model-based intervention was investigated

Researchers have investigated a smoking cessation trial in pregnant women using the transtheoretical model-based intervention.

Scientists at the University of Birmingham sought "to examine whether, as predicted by the transtheoretical model (TTM), stage-matched interventions will be more effective than stage-m is matched interventions." This was a "randomized controlled trial of smoking cessation advice to pregnant smokers."
