Saturated fat byproduct likely contributor to diabetes

Innovative research from Colorado State University biochemists has identified a saturated fat byproduct as a potential contributor to the development of type 2 diabetes.

The breakthrough has the potential to lead to novel treatments for diabetics and is aimed at reducing or eliminating the effects of a disease that affects about 16 million Americans.
