Company launches walking program for chronic health conditions



November 24th, 2003

Health Enhancement Systems announced the release of 10K-A-Day to Control Diabetes - the first in a series of walking programs for patients with chronic health conditions.

The program - which includes an engaging guide, step counter, and motivational e-mails - gives hospitals, managed care organizations, and providers a way to involve patients in improving their health status. An added feature is the proprietary administrative function for tracking program involvement online.

The new program motivates patients with diabetes and prediabetes to increase physical activity to 10,000 steps a day.
