Low-calorie sweetener shipped commercially

Spherix Incorporated (SPEX) has received its first commercial shipment of Naturlose, the firm's brand name for non-food uses of tagatose, its patented low-calorie sweetener.

The initial order of one ton was promptly delivered by Spherix's Danish licensee, Arla Foods Ingredients, from its new production facility and thus enables Spherix to pursue commercial sales to toothpaste, mouthwash, cosmetics, and drug manufacturers.

With Arla now successfully selling the product to the food and beverage markets, under the brand name "Gaio-Tagatose," both food and non-food sales aspects of this remarkable low-calorie sweetener that tastes like table sugar are...
