Human trials of Alveair insulin pulmonary technology about to begin

Coremed, Inc., has announced that it will soon begin a series of human trials using its Alveair insulin pulmonary technology that is inhaled, not injected.

Since its discovery around 80 years ago, insulin dosage is traditionally standardized in "units" measurement. Coremed's Alveair pulmonary prototype features a hand-held device that delivers inhaled insulin in units, making it possible for the direct substitution of injectable insulin.
