Vermont Governor issues challenge to state's kids

As his health commissioner detailed the dangers of obesity among kids, Governor James Douglas issued a challenge March 31, 2004, to young Vermonters to turn off their televisions and computer games, opting instead for some exercise and healthy eating.

The so-called "Daylight Savings Challenge" is designed to take advantage of the improving weather and the extra hour of daylight that will follow the switch to daylight-saving time.
