Vista Medical reports first quarter results

For the quarter ended March 31, 2004, revenues were $1,711,000 compared with revenues of $2,850,000 for the first quarter of 2003, a decrease of 40%.

The company reported a net loss for the quarter of $938,000, or $0.18 per basic and diluted share, versus a net loss of $57,000, or $0.01 per basic and diluted share, for the corresponding quarter of 2003.

In December 2003, the company announced the sale of its visualization technology business to Viking Systems, Inc. This sale closed on April 15, 2004.
