Getting and staying fit doesn't faze blind student

Miranda Anderson embraces fitness.

The 15-year-old sophomore fears nothing, eagerly seeking new ways to exercise and build strength, her teacher says.

"Miranda has just embraced all the concepts of fitness and activity," Karen Allen, her teacher at the Oklahoma School for the Blind, said.

"Miranda's got a wonderful attitude."

In the last year, Anderson and other students at the school have studied fitness with the help of the state and city's Walk This Weigh program.
