A researcher reviews lifestyle change and the metabolic syndrome in a recent issue of Endocrinology and Metabolism Clinics of North America.

According to a study from the United States, "The National Cholesterol Education Program's Adult Treatment Panel III identifies persons with multiple metabolic risk factors or 'metabolic syndrome' as candidates for intensified therapeutic lifestyle changes."
