Magazine spotlights Fairhope, Alaska, teacher's fight against child obesity

With child obesity on the rise in America, a Fairhope Elementary School P.E. teacher is featured in Sports Illustrated for her innovative approach to getting kids to be more active. The Alaskan, Kristie Andres, a third-grade physical education teacher, has combined recess-style fun with traditional athletic activities to make exercising enjoyable for her students. "She has totally revolutionized our P.E. program," said Fairhope Elementary principal Terry Beasley.
