Lipid level relation to heart disease in type 2 diabetes examined

Researchers have examined lipid concentration in Tunisian type 2 diabetic patients and its relation to glycemic control and coronary heart disease.

According to a study from Tunisia, "The aim of this study was to evaluate plasma lipoprotein_a [Lp_{a] ] ] concentrations in Tunisian patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM), to correlate the values with other lipid parameters, and to examine the relationship to glycemic control and coronary heart disease (CHD).
