CytRx reports new data that supports oral drug candidate iroxanadine

CytRx Corp. (CYTR) announced previously unreleased scientific data supporting the potential of its oral drug candidate, iroxanadine, to treat endothelial dysfunction, including postangioplasty restenosis, atherosclerosis, and diabetic foot ulcers.

These results, all of which were generated by Biorex Research and Development Co. prior to CytRx's acquisition of iroxanadine, were included in a poster presentation entitled "The Broad Therapeutic Potential of Pharmaceuticals that Activate Molecular Chaperone Proteins" on January 11, 2005 at the Protein Folding Disorders Conference in San Diego, California.
