Researchers describe findings in metabolic syndrome studies

Metabolic syndrome research advances have been reported from the United States, Italy and Tokyo 141-0022 Japan.

Study 1: The risk of metabolic syndrome in Mexican Americans is influenced by distinct genes, researchers report.

According to a recent study published in the journal Human Biology, "Metabolic syndrome refers to the clustering of disease conditions such as insulin resistance, hyperinsulinemia, dyslipidemia, hypertension, and obesity.
