Therapeutics company announces board appointment and first quarter finances

Nektar Therapeutics (NKTR) announced the appointment to the company's board of directors of Joseph J. Krivulka, currently the founder and president of Triax Pharmaceuticals. Krivulka will replace Melvin Perelman, who retired from the board after almost 10 years of service.

"Joe brings 25 years of successful commercial pharmaceutical management and product experience to Nektar's board. Krivulka's commercial acumen and broad experience will be particularly helpful as Nektar builds and advances our proprietary products program," said Robert Chess, executive chairman of Nektar.
