Dietary factors linked to plasma adiponectin concentrations in men

Researchers have found an association between dietary factors and plasma adiponectin concentrations in men.

According to a study from the United States, "Adiponectin, an adipocyte-derived peptide, improves insulin sensitivity, has anti-inflammatory and anti-atherogenic effects, and is associated with a lower risk of ischemic heart disease (IHD) and type 2 diabetes. However, little is known about dietary predictors of plasma adiponectin concentrations in humans.
