Prevalence of type 2 diabetes in obese Argentinean children reported

Researchers report the prevalence of type 2 diabetes and impaired glucose tolerance in obese Argentinean children and adolescents in a recent issue of the Journal of Pediatric Endocrinology and Metabolism.

According to a study from Argentina, "The aim of this study was to evaluate the prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2) and impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) in obese children and adolescents and to examine insulin resistance and insulin secretion.
