Characteristics of type 2 diabetes in Vietnam reported

Researchers report the anthropometric characteristics, dietary patterns, and risk of type 2 diabetes in Vietnam in a recent issue of the Journal of the American College of Nutrition.

Scientists in Japan conducted a study "to determine the impact of anthropometric characteristics and dietary patterns on type 2 diabetes mellitus in Vietnam. Data from 144 subjects (9 males/39 females, newly diagnosed diabetics; 18 males/78 females control subjects) were analyzed in this case-control study.
