Preclinical results for administration of PYY published in journal

Nastech Pharmaceutical Company Inc. (NSTK) announced the publication of preclinical results relating to the administration of PYY in the International Journal of Obesity.

The peer-reviewed paper, titled "Lower mean weight after 14 days intravenous administration peptide YY3-36 (PYY3-36) in rabbits," appears in the September 20, 2005, advanced online publication.

The major finding in the publication is that the treatment group receiving 205 ug/kg of PYY intravenously once daily over 14 days had lower average weight as compared to the control group. Additionally, a trend in reduced food consumption was observed in rabbits provided with fixed...
