Group visits and computer-assisted consultations improve health-related QOL in diabetic youth

Group visits and computer-assisted consultations are beneficial to health-related quality of life in older adolescents with type 1 Diabetes.

Scientists in Norway conducted a study "to examine the effects of group visits and computer-assisted consultations on quality of life and glycemic control in adolescents with Type 1 diabetes."

M. Graue and colleagues working with Haukeland University Hospital in Bergen explained, "A total of 116 adolescents, aged 11-17 years, and their parents were randomly assigned to an intervention (n=62) or a control group (n=54).
