Study 1: In vivo leptin infusion impaired insulin and leptin signaling in the liver and hypothalamus.

According to recent research from France, "Leptin resistance contributes to the pathogenesis of common obesity related metabolic diseases, including insulin resistance. However, the relationship between leptin and insulin resistance is not clearly established."
